Question 2:Tum’s Diner sells bin burgers at 1 mulch each. Each of these bin burgers are wrapped in a special wrapper. You can trade 3 of these wrappers for 1 bin burger. If you have 15 mulch, how many bin burgers can you get altogether?Answer:Firstly, you can get 15 burgers. Trade the wrappers to get 5 more burgers. Trade again and you'll have 1 more burger and 2 leftover wrappers. Trade the remaining wrappers to get 1 more burger. ( 15 + 5 + 1 + 1 = 22 )22 burgers
Question 3:There are 6 places set at each table for the big BBQ at Peel Park. All the tables and chairs have 4 legs each, and altogether the tables and chairs have a total of 196 legs. If there is one place set for each weevil who will attend, how many weevils are expected to come to the big party?Answer:Each table has 6 chairs, so there are a total of 7x4=28 legs at each table. So 196/28=7 tables. Therefore, 7x6= 42 weevils who are expected to come to the party.
Question 4:Ms Mrs. Weevil’s birthday approaches, she starts to collect mulch for her birthday party. On the first day of the month she collects one leaf, on the second day he collects two, and so on. I know how much you like to decorate your nest and how very good you are at doing it. With this in mind I want to challenge everyone to my TRAFFIC LIGHT interior design competition the best nest designer will win not only my Golden Bin trophy but your design will be displayed in Flem Manor Gallery.How will it work?There are 4 different nest styles you can select from, RED, YELLOW, GREEN or a combination of all three. Each style requires the correct colour theme, one fireplace of your choice and individuality!!Note: You can use items that are not of the colour themed you picked. For example I am going to design a RED room and I want to use the Wooden Clock even though it is not red it is allowed just as long as the whole room at the end is mainly RED and not brown.In order to win you will need to meet all the above requirements.How to capture your picture and send it in?When you have finished your nest you will have to take a ‘Print Screen’ of it (this will capture whatever is showing on your screen into an image format). This is very important so ask a parent or guardian to help you.Windows1. Make sure you can see your nest on the computer screen and your weevil is standing inside it.2.
